National coffee day

First stop! Krispy Kreme!!

As th poster says, ” free small coffee AND a free original glazed donut”, the perfect pair.

Don’t forget to check your area, places like Wawa (gas station/convenience store) and Sheetz are giving free self serve coffee.

Dunkin’ Donuts is offering their medium coffee for $0.66.

And the winner is….

First round of new Fall products to try. Out of all the others I’ve previously posted- not counting the yummy yogurts…..

Hershey’s Caramel Apple filled milk chocolate is a winner here!!

As much as I’ve been a fan of the Hostess products, the Carmel apple cupcakes and pumpkin spice twinkies fall short on flavor high on sweet!

The Boo-tterscotch is good, but with its sweetness, best in small doses.

Yup… you guessed it! New Fall flavored treats!!

Hostesss cakes is offering Caramel Apple cupcakes and pumpkin spice Twinkies!

Hershey’s has apple shaped caramel apple filled chocolates!

If you read the last Fall Flavors, I had two yogurt brands. Both were delicious !!!

Let me know if you have any questions on any of the items I’ve posted!

New flavors

The official first day of Fall/Autumn isn’t until the 22nd of September…. But it sure is starting to taste yummy!!!

If you love pumpkin- I know I do- it’s like a pumpkin heaven!! But if “not so much” then it’s ; “how many more things can you make into a pumpkin flavor!?!?!”

Either way Fall is in full force!

Autumn activities

The change in seasons doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do- just a change in the activity.

Autumn is a great time to go to the orchards and herb farms. Lavender Fields Herb Farm ( is a great example of what farms like this have to offer! For example, today’s list included free kids activity, free tasting, free gardening classes and a free tour of the farm! Whew!! What a morning!!

Check out your areas for free fun events like this. Don’t forget to “like” their Facebook pages if they have one so you’ll always know what’s new and going on!

B. A. N. A. N. Aaaaaa

What happens when there are bananas on sale? I know your probably thinking, “they’re always the same price”. Not when they’re super ripe ( not over ripe) and bagged up by at least 12 pcs. per bag- sold for $0.99 per bag!!

The result can be 36 mini banana chocolate chip bread loaves and one medi loaf!!

Good thing everyone here is in the mood for banana bread !!

They’re back….

Remember these? There are two other flavors missing still  from the shelf.

The craft stores may have hit us with the season change back in mid-July, but the food industry is creeping up fast behind them!

Any “new” items coming out this year??? Stay tuned…..

It feels like an annual tradition, once the pumpkin hits the shelves I have to get one of these! It’s like a “throwback” to the days I used to work there…. Yes, sometimes I miss it.

Thank goodness there’s a Godiva store near by!

So Hermine is making her presence known, the winds are much cooler (feels great), the leaves are starting to fall because of it and today it got darker a half hour earlier.

The feeling in the air calls for Cowboy Chili!! A dish that I’ve been making ever since I saw an episode on the Food Network featuring Chef Tim Love and the Chuckwagon Trail/Tour.

School snacks

With the kiddos back at school packing for snack time and lunch time can sometimes call for creativity.

We have to keep in mind the kids with allergies, even if yours don’t have any. I know at a certain age they get used to having allergies and know what they can and cannot have. But, we can do our part to help them not have to worry so much.

With that being said, through an awesome website group called MomsMeet ( I was chosen to have a sample party. The product I was chosen for is MadeGood Granola.

You HAVE to try them (!!!  Their granola bars and minis are allergy free- they don not contain peanuts or tree nuts.

Bonus!! The taste is great! They remind me of no-bake oatmeal bars.
